Helical Piers

A major portion of the foundation repair for the museum is the addition of the helical piers. The helical piers in conjunction with the concrete beam will replace the original function of the stem wall and footers in supporting the building. (For photos referencing the stem wall and footers see the page titled, "Foundation Problems").

The helical piers have several parts namely the actual helical with an extension, the faceplate with brackets to hold the helical in place and connected to the concrete beam, and the "T" with adjustment bolts.
