The Basement & Floor Joists

One of the unusual things about the Garner home is it has a partial basement with a crawl space under the remaining areas of the home. Part of the Phase II construction entails reinforcing the floor joists. This was done to bring the first floor support system up to building code requirements.

In addition, part of the foundation stabilization process was to add fiber reinforced concrete into all of the crawl spaces. Notice in the photograph below the old electrical insulators are still attached to the old floor joists.  Also in this photo the crawl space floor is still dirt.
